We start our tour under one of the city’s symbols, the Wawel Royal Castle, which, from the perspective of the Vistula River, impresses with its Renaissance charm. Passing under the Dębnicki Bridge, we head toward the Zwierzyniec district, which includes the 20th-century Salwator villa neighborhood. It is there that you can see the church and monastery complex of the Norbertine Sisters, which is not only a religious building, but also one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings in Cracow.
Moving on, we can also admire the Przegorzaly Castle, a building built during World War II that is a sad reminder of the Third Reich’s presence in Krakow. Then we enter the Bielańsko-Tyniec Landscape Park, where we can completely delight in contact with nature in the center of the city.
The gentle roar of the Vistula’s waves and the singing of birds accompanied us on our onward journey, through Zakrzówek and Debniki. Eventually we arrive at our destination. Kazimierz impresses not only with its multitude of establishments, cultures and world cuisines, but also with its rich history and architecture worth exploring.
